Give To Change Lives

Give Now

Everything we believe about giving comes straight from Scripture...

Giving allows us to demonstrate that God is more important than material things.

And when you give, you are investing in what God is doing and wants to do at Bethesda.

GIVING FAQ

  • What does the Bible say about giving?

The bible encourages us to give generously. It is 10% of your income.

    2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

  • How much should I give?

An offering is a freewill gift. God doesn’t set the amount but He encourages us to give freely because we will reap generously. He expects us to give from our heart as an act of worship.

  • Why to the local church?

Truthfully, everything we are and have belongs to God. Giving doesn’t go into the pockets of the pastor, the accountant or the staff, but it helps the ministry to function effectively. Giving to Bethesda aids in feeding the growing number of people fed at our weekly soup kitchen. Your gift aid in our local and international missions. Your generous giving helps to send children to school and support families in the church and the community.
